Flexible split-core AC current sensor implementing high accuracy Rogowski Coil technology

Main characteristics:

· Thin, light and flexible split-core current sensor for easy installation anywhere

· New Perfect Loop Technology for no-discontinuity coil clasp

· Better than 0.65% accuracy regardless of the primary conductor’s position

· Almost perfect linearity, no saturation, no upper limit in current rating

· 5% manufacturing tolerance (calibration required)

· Low output voltage proportional to the rate of change (derivative) of the primary current (electronic integrator required)

· 5 mm gauge with sensing apertures of Ø 55mm (RT 500) or Ø 125mm (RT 2000)

· Mass: 85g (RT 500) to 90g (RT 2000)

· Bandwidth: 50/60 Hz, up to 700kHz (RT 500) or 500kHz (RT 2000) in open circuit condition (no load)

· Isolation test voltage: 3.5kV RMS / 50Hz / 1min

· Operating range: -10°C to +65°C

· The products are CE certified regarding their safety according to the European directive 2006/95/EEC and tested according to the standards IEC 61010-1.

Remarks:

· First Rogowski coil suitable for Class 1 power monitors and energy meters

· The Perfect Loop Technology (Patent ref. WO 2009/001185 A1) definitely solves the problem of the Rogowski coil opening by introducing a specific magnetic device. This dramatically reduces both the error due to the position of the measured conductor within the sensor, and the error due to the proximity of external conductors.
